Vietnam Airlines has added a new route to Yangon, Myanmar, and is celebrating with a special price. The introductory fare from Ho Chi Minh City to Yangon is currently priced from VND1,950,000 (USD100) for a round-trip flight excluding taxes and fees. This fare is applicable for flights from now until December 25, 2010.
This new route commenced on November 15, 2010, and operates every Monday, Friday, and Sunday out of the Ho Chi Minh City International Airport to Yangon, Myanmar’s largest city and former capital. The flight time is 2 hours and 20 minutes on an Airbus 320 airplane.
The promotional roundtrip fare of VND1,950,000 (USD100) is subject to taxes and fees totaling VND1,521,000 (USD78). Only a limited number of seats are available at this promotional price, so fares may be higher on certain dates. The special fare is an “Economy Saver” class ticket and there is no mileage accrual for frequent flier programs. Once booked, flight changes are permitted with a fee of VND150,000 (USD7.50) or refundable minus an administration fee of 25% of the ticket price.
